With a solid educational foundation from Lalbahadur Bidya Pith, Orikanta, Cuttack, and Salipur College, he further enhanced his technical proficiency by completing AMIE (Electrical), equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Institution of Engineers, Kolkata.
His professional journey began in the corporate sector, where he gained valuable experience in marketing and industrial operations. He worked with Skipper India, a hydraulic hose manufacturing company in Chennai, as a Marketing Manager for two years. He then went on to serve BPA Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata for 15 years, where he played a key role in expanding market reach and strengthening client relationships through his leadership in marketing.
Building on his extensive experience, Jyoti Ranjan Mohanty ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing M/s. Ruby Enterprise in 2004. Under his leadership, the company specialized in the manufacturing and marketing of crushing plants and material handling equipment. His strategic direction enabled the business to expand beyond domestic markets, successfully supplying equipment across countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Further strengthening his industry footprint, he played a significant role in introducing advanced international technologies to the Indian market. For over a decade, he was actively involved in marketing fully automatic, technologically advanced brick plants from Columbia (USA) and Myoungsung Engineering (South Korea) across eastern India, contributing to modernization within the sector.
His extensive exposure to international markets has been shaped by his travels across countries including Germany, China, Dubai, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Bangladesh, Bhutan, South Korea, and Malaysia. These global interactions have enriched his understanding of emerging technologies, market dynamics, and cross-border business practices.
